4 Days Tour to Todra Gorge & Merzouga Desert from Marrakech is A tour that will take you from your hotel in Marrakech and introduce you to the desert, villages, and mountainous regions of the great Moroccan Sahara. On this 4 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, you will experience high mountain passes where views will be witnessed across several miles, Kasbahs, a camel trek in Merzouga over the Erg Chebbi Dunes. There is nothing more spectacular than an overnight stay in a Bedouin desert camp. This allows you a chance to star gaze into the sky, watch the sunset, and rise when on a camel ride.

Itinerary :

Day 1:

Marrakech – Pacha Glaoui Telouet Kasbah – Ouarzazate

Departure: in the morning. Crossing the famous High Atlas passage of Tizi n’Tichka we will head to Telouet. First of all, you will be able to see the heritage of the governor of Marrakech, Kasbah Pacha Glaoui. The perfect monument to start a journey. Also, a perfect spot for having lunch. The fresh green strip of Ounila Valley rests us from the sun, as we continue. Most of all, you will sense the spirit of the Berber culture as it descends from the mountains. Keep your eyes open and don’t miss some of this unique village, resting on the slopes. Before going to the hotel in Ouarzazate, another famous kasbah will open its great gates for us Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou. With the beauty of Moroccan architecture, it is eye-catching and also protected by UNESCO.

Day 2:

Ouarzazate – Todra Gorge – Tinghir

Deprature: 8:00am from Ouarzazate Besides the ravishing nature, Skoura Valley will show us Amredhyle Kasbah. Although we only have 20 minutes, it would be enough for this wonderfully molded splendor, to amaze you. Through the paradise of The Valley of Roses, we will head straight to Et Kelaa MGouna, where we will have 15min break. Heading Boulmane, reaching Tinghir and 20km after, its fabulous canyons, the Todra Gorge Canyons. Having some free time, you will closely experience the gorges, and the river and enjoy lunch at the restaurant. After noon, we will let the palm plantations of Tinjedad and Touroug lead us on. Further, the oasis town of Erfoud will introduce us to the local fossil craft workshop. The next stop will be, Merzouga with its marvelous dunes. For the full experience, we will switch from 4x4 to camels and catch the most beautiful rays of the setting sun. After dinner, Berber tents in bivouac Znigue will offer you a unique and comfortable sleep

Day 3:

Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Tazzarine – Zagora

To get the best from the Sahara Desert you will have to wake up early. Departure will happen after a delicious breakfast and it will be directed towards the Palm Plantation of Tifilalet. Although just passing Rissani city, you will be able to see some of the old capital features. Since it has been and it still is the commercial center of the region, different dynasties here, fought for supremacy. Alaouite Dynasty is one that left many of its features and monuments. Nowadays, the city has good status in trading leather and goat skin. Leaving this famous place behind, we head to Alnif, for lunch. And right between pretty oasis N’kob and this city lies another place to visit-Tazzarine, as well as Tansihkt. Tazzarine, the one that can see as a shy town, proudly struggles with the power of the desert. Going to meet this reckless wasteland, we head to Zagora, having dinner and a night in a hotel.

Day 4:

Zagora – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

There is no journey that starts without breakfast! Therefore, after some meals, we will slowly turn our way to Marrakech. Getting some freshness from Draa valley will surely appeal to you! In the afternoon road is going higher, hitting the point of 1660m, in Anti Atlas Mountains. Following with Tizi n’Tichka Pass in High Atlas, Marrakech will welcome us back.
